I love quad racing and I am having so much fun. Going to the track every week and seeing all my
friends and racing with them is so cool. Dad and I are doing a lot of work on both my quads to get
them ready for next year. I can't wait to start the season. I want to race in national events and also try
racing in a GNCC Enduro. I want to race every chance I can. I want to thank my Dad and Stacey for
EVERYTHING and for being great parents. See everyone soon...

          Kyle Ludgate #124-

The whole family enjoyed this past year and as much as I always swore I'd never get involved in
anything that would take up so much of my time, it looks as though we may be in for the long run.
Kyle's involvement in mini-quad racing has not only benefited him in numerous ways, but has also
developed into an event our family greatly enjoys. We have a busy winter ahead of us. Kyle wants to
race a few national events this coming year and possibly a GNCC enduro, along with the local
series. The production TT Predator 90 we acquired this past fall, that Kyle was able to run a few
times, had issues. We completely disassembled it and are rebuilding from the ground up. This
should not only resolve the problems we encountered, but make the quad run competitively. When
this is complete, we will begin rebuilding the stock Predator 90 as a production MX quad. I have
designed different style a-arms for both quads and a swing arm for the MX quad. The prototypes
will be done soon. Stop back for updates and pictures on our progress and designs.
                                                                                                                                   Greg Ludgate-

His Dad nicknamed him, "mini-me". Our friends nicknamed him, "Lil' nut". Either name, Kyle is truly
a chip off the paternal block, in every way. For years I tried to get him interested in any type sport.
Nothing grabbed his attention, nor did he show any real skills for the standard stick and ball sports.
Our friend Dean, tells a great story about trying to teach Kyle to play Frisbee a few years ago. It still
brings tears of laughter to my eyes. Kyle was happiest in the garage with his Dad... Building,
modifying and destroying.

Along the way, we had snowmobiles and ATV's, Kyle did too. He loved racing his little Suzuki LT 50
or his Kitty Kat around and around the house. His Dad would build him little moguls and jumps in
the snow. The grins from ear to ear said it all, this kid wanted to ride. In early 2003, we realized we
had outgrown our home and decided it was time for a new one with lots of land for 'the boys' to
play. The new home, had an ATV track out back on the property and soon the bulldozer came out,
the track modified and expanded. Our family and our quads had found a new home. That same
year we got Kyle a Polaris Predator 90 for his b-day and we made it almost through the next
summer of '04, before after much begging, pleading and negotiation from Kyle, we did a little
research, found a local track that had mini-quad racing and took Kyle to one race. He was hooked.
Not only did he love it, he was a natural. In 2005, there was no way around it... Kyle wanted to race.
We joined family friends, The Bogino's (A-Train Racing, AJ - #913) and The Fonte's (Fonte Racing,
Steven - #81) in racing the summer series at 2 local tracks. The rest as they say, is history.

There is nothing more gratifying than being witness to and part of a child finding himself, and that's
what happened. Kyle found his niche and his first love, quad racing. In the last year he has grown
tremendously as an individual. He is now very outgoing, friendly and focused. Kyle has made many
friends at the track and not only do these kids learn competition and sportsmanship, they learn
social skills and fair play. The best thing for me, is watching these kids fiercely compete against
each other on the track, then get off their vehicles, remove their helmets and play together... Digging
in the dirt, riding bikes, tossing a football.

We enjoyed this past year and met some wonderful families. We look forward to the coming year,
what it will bring, seeing all our friends and meeting some new ones along the way.
